Why it's worse than it used to be

Meet LA's "ankle biter" mosquitoes

They bite during the day

LA's invasive Aedes "ankle biter" mosquitoes are most active in daylight — not just at dusk.

They breed in tiny amounts of water

A bottle cap of water is enough. Plant saucers, drains, and toys are common sources.

They don't travel far

If you're getting bitten, they're probably breeding on your property or right next door.

How it works

How mosquito control works

  1. 1

    Yard inspection

We walk your property to find breeding sites and the shady spots where adult mosquitoes rest during the day.

  2. 2

    Targeted treatment

We treat foliage, fence lines, and resting areas, and apply larvicide to standing water that can't be removed.

  3. 3

    Monthly protection

We come back every month during mosquito season, because new mosquitoes keep arriving from nearby yards.

FAQ

Mosquito control questions

When is mosquito season in Los Angeles?
Mosquitoes are most active in LA from spring through fall, with the worst biting usually in the hottest months. We recommend monthly service throughout the warm season.
Is mosquito treatment safe for my pets and garden?
We use EPA-registered products and target the places mosquitoes rest and breed rather than spraying everything. We'll tell you how long to keep pets off treated areas while they dry.
Will I still see some mosquitoes?
Treatment greatly reduces mosquitoes on your property, but some can still fly in from neighboring yards. Monthly visits and removing standing water keep the numbers down.
Does general pest control cover mosquitoes?
General pest control focuses on insects in and around the house. Mosquito control is a separate yard treatment that targets where mosquitoes rest and breed.
